Police say a shooting accident in northwest Atlanta led to a traffic accident near Downtown Atlanta and an arrest.
A spokesperson for the Atlanta Police Department tells FOX 5 News that the accidental shooting happened on Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway. A man was showing his friend a handgun when it went off and struck his friend in the face.
They quickly got into their car and started driving to Grady Memorial Hospital. On the way, they got into an accident near Piedmont Avenue and Decatur Street.
Police charged the man with the gun with Aggravated Assault. They arrested him at the scene of the wreck.

A judge has sentenced Michael Parson to the maximum of 35 years in jail for the attempted murder of his wife. On Thursday, Parson was convicted of shooting his wife, Adina, eight times in 2012.
