DALLAS -
A stray cat that garnered national attention because of her 40-pound frame has been moved to a no-kill shelter as she awaits adoption.
"Skinny," who was originally thought to be a male, first made headlines while staying at the Richardson Animal Shelter, but is now shacked up at the East Lake Pet Orphanage in northeast Dallas.
The 5-year-old fat cat is on a strict low-calorie diet and needs plenty of play time to work off the weight.
Skinny is spayed, friendly and ready for a new life in a new forever home.
