GARLAND, Texas -
A woman died late Tuesday night when she crashed into the back of a semi-truck on the LBJ Freeway.
Garland police were working a different accident in the northbound lanes, and traffic had slowed to move out of the blocked lanes.
Investigators say the woman driving a red Chevy apparently failed to note the semi in front of her had stopped near the Centerville Road, and rammed into the back of it at highway speed.
Rescue crews say the woman was trapped in her vehicle and died at the scene. Her name has not yet been released.
The truck driver was not hurt.
