4 year old child shot

Fort Worth police are investigating the shooting of a 4 year old.

The child's family brought the victim to Cook Children's Medical Center overnight.

The family told police that they were in their vehicle, traveling near Highway 287 and Miller Ave., when someone fired a shot into their car.

The bullet entered the child's shoulder and exited through the neck.

The child is expected to survive.

Police are looking for the shooter and trying to determine the location of where the shot was fired.
