DALLAS -
An American Airlines flight en route to Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport was diverted on Monday after the copilot experienced chest pains.
Flight 2309 from Chicago was diverted to Lambert-St. Louis International Airport at 11:25, according to Lambert representative Jeff Lea.
Lea said the copilot, or first officer, was removed from the plane and transported by ambulance to an area hospital.
His condition was not immediately known.
The flight was scheduled to continue to DFW, Lea said.
