GOLDEN, Colo. -
A teenager on a skateboard got close and personal with nature over the weekend when a young deer crashed into him.
A YouTube video shows Ryan Vitale and several other skateboarders during the Buffalo Bill Downhill Race on Lookout Mountain.
The group was traveling about 40 miles per hour when suddenly a deer bounds into view, runs alongside Vitale for a few seconds, then cuts in front of the teen.
Both the deer and the skateboarder tumbled end over end on the side of the road. According to media reports, neither was seriously hurt.
The video was captured by another skateboarder wearing a camera on his helmet.
