SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. -
Hold the mayo: a Nebraska man was arrested this week for allegedly assaulting his wife with a sandwich.
According to the Scottsbluff Star-Herald, 50-year-old Larry Spurling is accused of "pushing (his wife) down and rubbing a sandwich in her face."
He is charged with disturbing the peace.
Spurling's wife called 911 and told police an argument escalated as her husband kept drinking.
When deputies arrived they found several pieces of lunchmeat and some bread scattered on the carpet.
Lawmen arrested Spurling a short time later.
