Winds will start to pick up in the days ahead as a strong cold front from the north moves into the area. The cold front, which will produce snow over the northern plains, appears to make its north Texas arrival by late Friday. Temperatures will be dropping dramatically by Saturday and Sunday with highs perhaps only in the 50s. Rain is also likely on both Friday and Saturday as it appears that Fall could finally be starting to settle in. This weekend cool spell will be short lived though, as temperatures will be back into the 70s and lower 80s by the beginning and the middle of next week. After Saturday, it looks like the weather will be dry for the beginning of next week. However, be ready for the big cool down by Saturday.
