The North Richland Hills Police Department is investigating the connection between a burning vehicle and the fatal shooting inside the Hunan Wok.
Police said one person was killed and another injured Tuesday afternoon when a man opened fire inside the restaurant at 5142 Rufe Snow Drive on Loop 820.
The husband of a waitress told FOX 4 the two victims were both restaurant employees and the suspected gunman was a former chef.
One man died from a gunshot wound to the head and the other man was hospitalized with chest wounds, police said.
The names of the victims and the suspect were not released.
On Tuesday evening a vehicle that fit the description of the one the suspect was allegedly driving was found engulfed in flames at a park near Benbrook Lake.
Police said a man inside was flown to a local hospital in an unknown condition. They are still investigating his connection to the shooting.
