A Grapevine police sergeant is facing child pornography charges.

Philip Woolery, 46, was arrested Monday night by the United States Postal Inspectors Office for allegedly receiving the explicit material through the mail.

He was placed on administrative leave on Tuesday.

The Grapevine Police Department said Woolery works in the Uniform Operations Division and has been on the force for 17 years.
