Friends and family members of high school football player who went missing last weekend will finally be able to move toward closure.
Searchers found the body of 17-year-old Jacob Logan Thursday night at 9:21 p.m., according to a Palo Pinto justice of the peace.
Logan disappeared in Possum Kingdom Lake on Sunday while with friends. Witnesses say he jumped off one of the cliffs into the water, surfaced briefly, then disappeared.
Logan was a standout football player on the No. 4-ranked Coppell High School team. When he played his last game a week ago, he scored a touchdown.
Logan's coach, Joe McBride, sent out a tweet last night to school followers.
"Jacob has been found... have peace and get sleep. Tomorrow the sun will be up and we WILL have great day!"
Tonight, the football team plays at Flower Mound. Players will wear No. 21 on their helmet in honor of Logan's jersey number.
