Fighting colds and the flu

1 red onion
1 hot pepper
4 cloves garlic
2-inch piece ginger root
2 medium sweet potatoes
1 c. shiitake mushrooms
2 handfuls goji berries
Sea salt and black pepper to taste
2 c. vegetable stock
2 t. olive oil

Serves 2

1. Finely chop the onion, hot pepper, garlic and ginger. Add to a pan with a little
olive oil and a pinch of sea salt. Sauté on mid to high heat until the onion softens.

2. Dice the sweet potato. Slice the shiitake mushrooms. Add these two ingredients,
plus the goji berries to the onion, garlic, pepper and ginger. Stir well, then add
enough vegetable stock to cover all the ingredients. Simmer well, until the potato is
