The new deck park over Woodall Rodgers freeway in downtown Dallas opens Saturday.
50 events are planned for Saturday.
Tens of thousands of people are expected to celebrate the grand opening.
It took 10 years worth of planning, and cost 110 million dollars to build, but this unique park spans over 5 acres.
If you choose to walk it, a trek around the entire park is about a half mile.
It can accommodate some five thousand on the great lawn.
There's a putting green for golfers and there will be two restaurants here in the near future.
There's been some talk about the name - a wealthy Dallas philanthropist named Kelcy Warren paid for the naming rights.
His 10 year old son is Klyde Warren.
There's a year round effort planned to attract visitors.
This opening weekend alone there will be chess tournaments, dog training, a movie screening, concerts and fireworks.
