A 5-year-old boy is dead after being struck by a pickup truck Saturday evening in downtown Carrollton.
Carrollton police tell FOX 5 News that the boy was with his parents crossing the street on Newnan Street near Adamson Square when he was hit. The family had just picked up a pizza at a local establish.
The driver of the red Ford F-150 pickup stopped and cooperated with police in the investigation. Police say they will likely not charge the driver.
