Missing Irving man and daughter found safe

A missing Irving man and his 11 month old daughter have been found by family members.

Irving police spokesman John Argumaniz says early Sunday relatives of James Florez spotted the man's pickup near the Trinity River at Loop 12 and the Northwest Highway and called police. Florez truck was off the roadway and had been stuck in mud for several hours. Florez and his 11 month old daughter Victoria disappeared from the family home in Irving Friday evening.

The police spokesman says Florez was taken into police custody and transferred to Parkland Hospital for mental evaluation. The 11 month old child was checked by paramedics and released to the custody of her mother.
