Famous race car drivers greeted fans ahead of Sunday's big AAA Texas 500 race weekend at Texas Motor Speedway.
On behalf of their sponsors, drivers such as Ryan Newman and Tony Stewart on Thursday mingled with fans and signed autographs.
"This is the part of the weekend when I like being around a lot of people," defending Sprint Cup champion Stewart said. "We're not thinking about the race car. We're just thinking about hanging out with people and the race fans today. It's fun to hear their stories … then tomorrow, it's back to business."
