Workers remove a body from a crashed car found in Oak Cliff.A husband and wife were killed in an Oak Cliff crash on Wednesday morning, just off Interstate 30 and Westmoreland Road, Dallas police said.
According to investigators, a 72-year-old man and his 67-year-old wife were inside a four-door sedan that was traveling southbound on N. Westmoreland Road when it left the roadway.
They said the car struck a curb and veered off the road at the 3200 block of Remond Drive before hitting the concrete base of a power pole and then a billboard. The vehicle flipped and came to a stop, police said.
A passer-by saw the crumpled car at about 7 a.m. and called police.
When emergency crews arrived, they found the couple dead inside the vehicle.
Investigators said they are awaiting autopsy results to determine if the driver may have suffered a health-related issue that could have caused the crash.
