Workers remove a body from a crashed car found in Oak Cliff.DALLAS -
A husband and wife were killed in an Oak Cliff crash on Wednesday morning, just off Interstate 30 and Westmoreland Road, Dallas police said.
According to investigators, a 72-year-old man and his 67-year-old wife were inside a four-door sedan that was traveling southbound on N. Westmoreland Road when it left the roadway.
They said the car struck a curb and veered off the road at the 3200 block of Remond Drive before hitting the concrete base of a power pole and then a billboard. The vehicle flipped and came to a stop, police said.
A passer-by saw the crumpled car at about 7 a.m. and called police.
When emergency crews arrived, they found the couple dead inside the vehicle.
Investigators said they are awaiting autopsy results to determine if the driver may have suffered a health-related issue that could have caused the crash.
