College Park police believe teenagers toting weapons are responsible for one murder and officers want to prevent them from killing again. FOX 5 has received new pictures showing what investigators say is the same group of young people targeting gas station clerks.
Authorities believe the pictures can be helpful because of the distinctive clothing worn by one of the teens.
The teenagers are suspected of trying to commit two robberies in a four-hour span. In one of those attempted robberies, which occurred early Sunday morning, a store clerk at a BP gas station in College Park was fatally shot. The gunmen were in the store for a total of four seconds before one of them raised his gun and shot store clerk, 28-year-old Alagie Dibba.
"We do not think that he meant to shoot. However, it happened that way," said Major Linda Burke of the College Park Police Department.
Surveillance pictures show the same two young people, joined by a third person, attempt to hold up another BP along Georgia Highway 85 in Clayton County. However, the clerk behind the bulletproof glass wouldn't them in.
One suspect had on distinctive clothing -- a designer jacket and a hat that pulls down over the ears.
College Park Police ask anyone with information on the suspects to call (404)768-8664.
