Former Hood county sheriff passes away

Hood county's former sheriff passed away.

Edwin Tomlinson served the county, southwest of Fort Worth, as sheriff for more than a decade.

He was 84.

The Hood county sheriff's office said in a statement: "we are very sad at the passing of Edwin Tomlinson. Several law enforcement officers working today started their career working for Tomlinson. He was a native of Hood county and we will miss him."
