Get Up and Go: 29th Annual Candlelight Tour Festival

Posted: Updated:
WARM SPRINGS, Ga. -

Get Up and Go's destination is in Meriwether County about 70 miles south of Atlanta. It's the Warm Springs 29th Annual Candlelight Tour Festival. The festival is always held the weekend before Thanksgiving, and the city really goes all out!

More Christmas lights than you can count adorn every business and storefront along with wreaths, garland, candles and bows. As you stroll around Warm Springs it will even smell like Christmas with the aroma of hot chocolate and warm cider filling the air.

There will be entertainment throughout the weekend including barbershop quartets and carolers. They'll be inviting you to join in the songs of yuletide cheer. And don't miss the parade Saturday morning!

The 29th Annual Warm Springs Candlelight Tour Festival is this Friday, Saturday and Sunday. There is no parking or admission charge!

Does your summer road trip include mouth-watering stops at mom-and-pop eateries?  Ours does, and it'll be even better with the help of a new Southern Living book!
Off the Eaten Path: Second Helpings is dedicated to finding the best meals in the south-- and it features some great restaurants right here in north Georgia.  Good Day's Paul Milliken checked out two of those gems-- The Hil in Serenbe, and Weaver D's in Athens!  As usual, he didn't leave hungry.
