One man died and another was injured in two separate shootings at a Red Bird-area motel.
Dallas police responded to both incidents at the Americas Best Value Inn on Preferred Place, near I-20 and Camp Wisdom.
Investigators say the first incident happened about 11:30 p.m. A 37-year-old man named Fabian King was grazed by a bullet from an unknown armed suspect.
King had been treated and release from the shooting and was talking to officers back at the scene.
Almost three hours later, shots rang out in the parking lot again. This time, police found the victim shot in the head on the ground. The unnamed man was rushed to the hospital where he later died.
Detectives are working to figure out if the two shootings were related.
