DALLAS -
Water gushed out of a break in a 36-inch main along the service road of Interstate 35E during the afternoon rush hour Wednesday.
The flooding shut down the northbound service road between Inwood Road and Medical District Drive. The interstate remained open, but traffic was slowed to a crawl.
Video from SKY 4 showed 2 to 3 feet of water in some areas in front of the Friendly Chevrolet car dealership.
City of Dallas officials said the cause of the failure was unknown.
Crews were sent out to close it off and making repairs.
