An East Texas man in his 30s is behind bars in Rains County following the shooting death of his grandmother.

KLTV reports that Department of Public Safety troopers found Brandon Couch after a manhunt near the town of Point in Rains County, east of Lake Tawakoni.

The suspect's grandmother, 78-year-old Mattie Couch, was found dead in her home Wednesday by her son. He called Raines County authorities immediately.

So far, DPS troopers have provided no motive for the killing.
