The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey has released dramatic security camera videos showing the massive flooding that occurred at PATH train stations when Superstorm Sandy caused record-breaking storm surge in the Tristate area on October 29, 2012.

One video shows what it looked like by the elevators inside the Exchange Place station in Jersey City. Water swamped tickets machines and turnstiles.

Video from outside Exchange Place shows high flood waters with fast-moving current caused by driving wind.

Another video shows water cascading into the Hoboken station through an elevator door. Then another angle shows water well on its way to submerging the tracks.

PATH service remains suspended at the Hoboken, Exchange Place and the World Trade Center stations as recovery efforts continue. Port Authority officials say it will be several weeks before resumption of service on the Newark-World Trade Center line and the lines to and from Hoboken station because of the significant damage from the flooding in the PATH tunnels and multiple stations.
