CONYERS, Ga. -
Police in Conyers are investigating an officer-involved shooting that left a man injured on Friday.
According to Conyers police, officers responded to a call near Sigman Road and Rockbridge Road. Police say they found a 21-year-old Pernell Presley standing over his mother, Trisa Stallworth, with a knife in his hand.
Investigators say Presley charged the officer with the knife and the officer opened fire.
Both the mother and son were life-flighted to hospitals.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is working the case.
