LEWISVILLE, Texas -
A 56-year-old Lewisville man killed a younger relative on Sunday following an argument, Lewisville police said.
According to investigators, Humberto Martinez-Benitez used a pistol to fatally shoot 26-year-old Jacob Gutierrez at the Village North Mobile Home Park in the 1200 block of N. Cowan, just after 1 a.m.
Arriving officers found the younger man's body in a front yard, they said.
Martinez-Benitez was not at the location but was later detained by Carrollton police during a traffic stop in that city.
The suspect is charged with murder and is being held at the Lewisville Detention Center.
An investigation is ongoing.
