POWDER SPRINGS, Ga. -
A Cobb County teenager who was missing for nearly a day after he was seen jumping out of a special needs school bus was found Saturday afternoon walking on a golf course.
Cobb County police in release sent to FOX 5 News on Saturday stated that 16-year-old Wilford Hardnett was found earlier that afternoon walking on the 18th fairway of Marietta Country Club carrying a bag of snacks. Police told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution he was approached by a club member who asked him what he was doing. Police were then called and the youth was returned to his home.
Police said he was carrying some sort of drink in his hand and was in good condition. Cobb police spokesman Dana Pierce said he did not know where Hardnett had been or why he had jumped from the bus.
