Hundreds and hundreds of "big kids" rushed through Toys R Us doors when they swung open at 8:00 p.m. – one hour earlier than last year.
"We're trying to get best deals, Toys R Us is the best place for the best deals," said one eager customer.
Love is something everyone needs a little bit of. To deal with these lines snaking through Times Square over at a Best Buy, it's the same story there. Jeffrey Salas was first waiting for a one-of-a-kind deal on a big screen TV.
"It's a 40" inch TV for $180! I mean a 40 for $180? Pretty cheap, right?" said Salas.
"What you looking to get? And laptop and for how much? No less, I mean more than $200."
So many deals, even the customers get confused but retailers know exactly what's going on. Some make up to 40 percent of their annual revenue during this two month holiday shopping season.
This year, the National Retail Federation says it expects those sales to jump an additional 4.1 percent thanks to campers – check that, more like shopper such as Suzaly Lugo.
"I've been out here since 6:00 a.m. for the deals, and for the sales – racking up!" said Lugo.
While in-store sales are supposed to rise by 4.1 percent, online sales are supposed to rise by 15 percent to $68 billion. So a lot of people are shopping at home.
