Police open fire, break up street racers

Posted: Updated:

A Dallas police officer fired his gun while breaking up people who were street racing.

Officers on patrol noticed vehicles racing in the Pleasant Grove area around 2AM Sunday.

Police say as officers made their way to the street racers, all off of the vehicles scattered, except one.

When police ordered the two men inside the vehicle to show their hands, the driver surrendered, but the passenger did not comply, according to officers.

The passenger surrendered after police fired one shot at the car.

No one was hurt.
