An anonymous donor is helping give back what a criminal stole from a Fort Worth drill team.
Props and money being saved for an upcoming national competition were stolen from J.P. Elder Middle School earlier this month. The thieves took things like boots and prop guns and swords.
The seventh and eighth grade students, who had hoped to defend their title at the National Middle School Cadet Corp Drill Championships, were disappointed until a donor sent them a check for $1,050.
Santa's name was the only one listed on the check.
Two other schools are also letting the students borrow show rifles and swords for the competition on Saturday.
