Fleeing robbery suspects cause several accidents

Posted: Updated:
DUNCANVILLE, Texas -

What apparently started as an aggravated robbery led to a chase, several crashes, and a manhunt Friday morning.

According to Cedar Hill police, three suspects robbed a gas station off Cannaday Drive around 7 a.m.

Police quickly spotted the getaway car and gave chase as the thieves turned onto Highway 67 and headed north.

Cedar Hill public information officer Victor Brown said the suspects took the Cockrell Hill Road exit in Duncanville, and ended up causing at least one accident involving five cars.

It's not clear if any motorists were hurt.

Two suspects were arrested at the scene along with a weapon, but a third evaded police by running to a nearby apartment complex.
