
An early morning wreck on the Dallas North Tollway has killed one person and sent another to a local hospital.
Department of Public Safety spokesman Trooper Lonnie Haschel says early Sunday morning a Jeep was driving north on the tollway when it plowed into of a Pontiac Firebird. The collision sent the auto into the concrete barrier and caused the Jeep to go airborne. Haschel says the Jeep flew off the tollway and landed on the Dallas Parkway below. the Jeep then hit a power pole and a tree.
Haschel says a passenger in the Jeep was killed, the driver taken to a local hospital in serious condition. the driver of the car was not injured. Troopers are trying to determine if alcohol was a factor in the wreck.
The name of the person killed in the wreck has not yet been released.
