A high ranking Fort Worth police department is accused of driving drunk.
Major Paul Henderson, the department's chief of staff, was arrested near the I-30/20 split in Parker county, Saturday.
Henderson was off duty at the time.
Two years ago, Henderson expressed outrage at the number of off-duty Fort Worth police officers being stopped for drunk driving
Police chief Jeff Halstead says Henderson is now on restrictive status while the incident is investigated.
Chief Halstead released a statement that read:
"Major Henderson was assigned as my Chief of Staff; I will make immediate changes in his responsibilities to protect the integrity of this process and ensure all projects can continue as planned.. ensuring our department remains efficient to our citizens."
