A man was killed early Tuesday in a single-vehicle crash along Turtle Creek in Dallas.
The incident happened around 12:50 a.m. in the 3800 block of Turtle Creek Boulevard
According to investigators, a Mercedes sedan careened off the roadway at a curve, tore through a fence and slammed into some trees along the creek, killing the male driver.
Witnesses told officers the car headed northbound on Turtle Creek Boulevard from Blackburn Street at a high rate of speed.
Excessive speed is likely the primary cause of the crash, investigators said.
They said the man was only a few blocks from home.
