Authorities attempting to serve a felony warrant in Arlington were involved in a standoff with the suspect for about five hours on Monday.
According to Arlington police representative Tiara Ellis Richard, 43-year-old Pervis Lee Andrews holed up in a house in the 500 block of Matt Lane.
Sgt. Chris Cook said he was wanted for aggravated assault related to a family violence case.
Andrews, whom Cook said has a criminal record, surrendered peacefully to authorities around 2:30 p.m.
Cook said a woman who was removed from the home helped police and US marshals negotiate with the man.
Andrews is now being held in the Arlington City Jail on a $10,899 bond for a felony assault and additional misdemeanor charges.
