Shots fired at second Dallas high-rise

Posted: Updated:
DALLAS -

The Dallas Police Department is investigating reports of more shots fired at a Dallas high-rise.

This time bullets appear to have hit a third-floor window for AmTrust North America. The business insurance company is located inside the Park Central 9 building in the 12700 block of Merit Drive near Interstate 635.

The bullets did not make it inside and no one was hurt.

On Friday someone fired shots at the CBS Radio building on Highway 75 and Fitzhugh Avenue.

The bullets shattered the glass outside Defense Attorney Pete Schulte's six-floor office. He believes if the double-pane window hadn't stopped it, he would have been hit in the head while sitting at his desk.

Police are still investigating both incidents. They have not said if they are connected.

According to an email sent to tenants in the building, police believe Thursday's gunfire was random and possibly from a vehicle traveling on the interstate.
