Possible meteor spotted over Texas

A picture shared by a FOX 4 viewer of the possible meteor over North Texas .

DALLAS -

From Houston to Oklahoma, and right here in North Texas, people across the region are reporting a streaming flash of light in the sky from Thursday night through early morning.

The object appears to be a meteor but there has been no official confirmation.

Still, the debris could be an early arriver in the upcoming Geminid meteor shower set to light up the skies beginning Dec. 13.
