Twin teenage girls were caught burglarizing a house in northwest Dallas Thursday night.
The homeowner said when she pulled into her driveway in the 4300 block of Boca Bay Drive she noticed her gate had been kicked in. She told her daughter to run across the street and call 911.
She then walked through the garage, grabbed a hammer and ordered the teens out.
"I wasn't sure if they were armed, if they had weapons on them, if there were others in the house or how many were in the house. I was mixed with fear, anger and adrenaline, which is like a crazy mix," she said.
The suspects jumped out of a back window and took off. One ran across the street to a park where the homeowner's daughter was able to point her out to responding officers.
Police arrested 18-year-olds Lizbeth and Edith Guevara for burglary of habitation.
