Early morning clouds across North Texas gave way to lots of sunshine by afternoon. Temperatures were in the upper 60s to lower 70s across the region. BUT THIS IS IT! By Sunday afternoon, a strong cold front will move through the area ushering much colder weather. There could be a few isolated showers, but most of the rain will be east of the Metroplex, if it occurs at all. The strong cold air advection behind the cold front will have temperatures dropping throughout the afternoon hours. Lows on Monday will be close to freezing with middle 20s expected by Tuesday morning. Daytime highs for the first couple of days of the work week will only be in the 40s. An upper level low moving across the area MAY kick off a flurries or two here in the Metroplex, but NO accumulations are expected. Stay tuned for further updates with the cold weather moving into the region.
