One arrested after wrong way crash on Highway 75

Posted: Updated:

A wrong way crash left two vehicles heavily damaged and closed part of Central expressway, Highway 75, in Dallas.

The crash occurred early Sunday morning in the southbound lanes, just south of the Northwest Highway exit.

Police say a driver in an SUV, who appeared to be intoxicated, slammed into another vehicle.

The victim's vehicle was so badly damaged that it was hard to determine the make and model.

Several southbound lanes were closed during the investigation and clean up, though traffic squeezed by in one lane.

The wrong way driver is charged with DWI.

It is not clear if the other driver suffered serious injuries.
