Snow moved through North Texas during the early morning hours Monday, briefly blanketing much of the area in white but not causing much trouble.
The snowfall arrived in Wichita Falls around 3 a.m., dusting Highway 82 and 287. Vehicle tracks could be seen in the snow but no significant crashes were reported.
The white stuff moved through Denton at about 4:30 amid blustery conditions but failed to stick and was mostly gone by 6 a.m.
By that time flakes were falling in Dallas, with the snow band moving east through the city and puttering out by 7 a.m.
The snow fell as mostly freezing temperatures covered the region but no cancelations were reported and there was no significant traffic trouble.
Any trace of the white stuff didn't last long as temperatures warmed into the 40s for the day.
The coldest temps of the season were expected Tuesday.
