(WJBK) -- Bill Kowalski is former FBI special Agent and currently the Director of Operations for Rehmann Corporate Investigative Services.
He joined Murray Feldman for a Money Monday segment to explain why it's a good idea to come clean with secrets you have on your resume. Or to the point, don't lie on your resume, it could cost you your job. Kowalski's information is good for your money and fits well into the Fox 2 Job Shop.
From Bill Kowalski:
Submitting a resume? Including your full name on your resume – including the middle name – provides prospective employers with additional information they may need to differentiate you during their due diligence.
Have a lot of experience or academic credentials? Make sure all of the information you're providing is as accurate as it can be: double-checking graduation dates and employment history doesn't take very long and can ensure a background check that begins with your information starts off on the right foot.
Love social media? Make sure your Facebook page, or any other online forum, presents you in a positive, professional light. Limit – or refrain from posting altogether – photos of you partying late into the night.
