Three people, including two Dallas police officers, were injured on Tuesday afternoon in a crash on Interstate 35E in Dallas.
According to police, the two officers – a veteran and trainee – were involved in a wreck with a red Toyota Camry at about 12:15 in the northbound lanes of I-35.
They said the female driver of the sedan swerved to avoid a vehicle that suddenly braked, striking one motorcycle and forcing it into the other.
Officers Wayne
Nichols and Michael Keating were transported to Methodist Central Hospital and Baylor Hospital, respectively, for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
The unidentified Camry driver was also hospitalized but did not suffer serious injuries, they said.
The incident shut down both directions of I-35, creating traffic jams that spanned miles of the freeway.
