HOUSTON (AP) - Retail gasoline prices in Texas have slipped a nickel this week.
AAA Texas on Thursday reported that average price at the pump was $3.09 per gallon. The association's weekly survey found national prices declined 8 cents to settle at $3.30 per gallon.
Fort Worth has the cheapest gasoline statewide this week at $3.03 per gallon. The most expensive gasoline was in Amarillo at $3.14 per gallon.
The association says retail prices have steadily declined due to lower crude oil prices and because U.S. demand for gasoline continues to be low, while inventories are high.
