Firefighters were called to battle a three-alarm fire at the Plaza of the Americas in downtown Dallas Tuesday night.
Fire officials said smoke rose from the roof of the building on North Pearl Street near Bryan Street began after 7:20 p.m. where roofers had been working.
Although there were no visible flames, the extra crews were called in because there was initially some concern about access to the fire.
A perimeter was set up around the building because firefighters had to knock out some windows for ventilation. The DART Pearl Street Station was also closed as a precaution.
No one was hurt.
