2 shot, 1 dead at Dallas gas station

Posted: Updated:

Police need your help to figure out who shot two men Tuesday night, killing one of them.

About 10:30 p.m., the driver of a Chevy Malibu pulled up to the gas pumps at the Tetco station on Mockingbird Lane at John Carpenter Freeway (Highway 183) in a car riddled with bullet holes.

The driver had been shot in the leg, and the passenger was shot in the head.

Despite the efforts of paramedics and emergency room staff, the passenger died at the hospital. The driver was taken to Parkland in stable condition.

Officers aren't sure exactly where the men were shot, since Mockingbird Lane, I-35 and Highway 183 are easily accessible from the gas station.

Police want to know if anyone in the area heard shots or saw some criminal activity last night.
