ARLINGTON, Texas -

Police are still searching for a 77-year-old woman who disappeared from her Arlington home on Tuesday morning.

Detectives say Maria Arrocha has signs of Alzheimer's disease and becomes easily confused.

Her family last saw her at 9 a.m. Tuesday at her home in the 1800 block of Arbor Lane -- that's south of Park Row Drive between Collins Street and New York Avenue.

Officers believe she may have wandered into a stranger's backyard in the neighborhood.

Arrocha is about 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighs about 180 pounds. She has black and grey hair and brown eyes. Family members are not sure what she was wearing when she disappeared.

If you have any information, please call 911 or Arlington Police at 817-459-5600.

NOTE: Police originally reported that Arrocha was 82 years old.
