If you still haven't done your Christmas shopping, you'd better get ready to brake for traffic.
The hustle and bustle outside the stores and packed malls can be brutal. Patience is at a premium.
Some malls have hired extra security to direct traffic, but they say the best thing you can do to avoid the crowd is to leave before the stores open.
Another tip is parking at the far end of the parking lot and taking in a little exercise.
"It's easier for me to park here than go around and around and around. I just like parking in the back," said Hugo Reyes.
Or you can valet at some major malls if you're willing to pay the price.
But at all costs, police say avoid confrontation.
"One lady cut me off. I mean, the parking spot was clearly mine and I was sitting there for a parking space the other day and she just cut me off and went in," said Linda Cross.
Given the amount of traffic and people darting in and out of cars in the parking lots, police don't want to see any serious crashes because that would ruin Christmas for everyone involved.
