Dallas police have arrested Mark Guida in connection with the killing of Jeri Ann McCloud.
Thursday night Dallas firemen discovered the woman's body in the back seat of Jeep after they extinguished a fire that had engulfed the vehicle. Investigators determined the woman had been killed.
Saturday Guida was booked into the Dallas County Jail on a charge of Capital Murder. Police documents indicate Guida and McCloud recently began living together after a four year relationship. Guida told police detectives the couple lived separately but his financial situation resulted in the two moving in together. Guida told detectives he didn't like children, McCloud is the mother of three.
Police say McCloud was strangled, her jeep driven to a remote area and set on fire by Guida. Police documents indicate detectives have surveillance video showing Guida buying a gas can and filling it with gasoline. A gasoline can was found near the burning Jeep.
