Cloudy skies will keep temperatures low

Posted: Updated:
DALLAS -

Some traces of the Christmas Day snowfall will remain on lawns, roofs and bushes today, because the temperatures are not going to warm up very much.

FOX 4 meteorologist Evan Andrews says after a very chilly night, dawn came with temperatures in the Metroplex in the low 20s. Some communities north on the Red River saw lows in the teens.

Through today, some high clouds will move in from the west and prevent the sun from warming up North Texas, Andrews said. Today's high temperatures will be slightly above the freezing mark.

Overnight, look for more cold -- with lows in the upper 20s with more wind. But by tomorrow, we'll see temperatures in the 40s.
